Improving SEO Foundations and Website Redesign
Heather Joy, owner of The Happydemic approached me whilst I was on my travels in Australia. She is a Brisbane based laughter yoga leader, hosting laughter yoga workshops within the corporate environment. Heather also hosts regular free workshops around Brisbane and teaches others this wonderful practice so everyone can spread the laughter.
Heather was after some help to make the most of her website with improvements to her SEO. Having not yet invested in SEO tools I made it clear that my work on the site would only go so far but I recommended an overhaul of the website design for a better user experience in conjunction with improvements to the basic SEO.
I redesigned the homepage of the site to be more focused on Heather herself. As a world renowned laughter yoga teacher taught by inventor of laughter yoga, Heather is the key to the business. I therefore thought she should be the face of it. The previous look of the sight was corporate but too business like. Heather is all about adding joy to the workplace and easing workplace stress so by updating her website design to be more modern and profession and injecting it with fun and Heathers lovely big smile we were able to strike up a better balance.
I also carried out keyword research for all the important pages of the website and created improved metadata. With Heathers approval this has all been uploaded to the site. To ensure future pages are optimised as well as possible I have created an SEO for Beginners guide for Heather to give her a better understanding of what she needs to take into account with each new page or post that she adds.
Heather has a wonderfully refreshed website design and has the tools and understanding of SEO that she needs to continue to grow her website organically. She has given me a lovely testimonial below.
“Steph has enabled my business via website visits to shine. I initially approached Steph for some help with SEO and was impressed with her detailed analysis of improvements as well as the patient, non-technical way she explained herself. From the first meeting, her passion and knowledge of content marketing shone through and has greatly sharpened my blog writing. Steph then overhauled The Happydemic website’s visual branding. I am my business – and now instead of hiding behind stock images, I’m there for the world to see. These combined improvements are already seeing more traffic and more enquiries for my services. Steph is a treasure. ”
